When Kreidler closed down in 82, a German named Mike Krauser was offered the racedepartment due to his earlier sponsorship. He declined but bought one racer for his star driver, Swiss Stefan Doerflinger. Doerflinger drove the Nico Bakker framed special to his first Worldchampionship!
